My Wish

It amazes me how much angrier I get each and every time I fill up my car with gas. You'd think my anger would have peaked sometime throughout the last 6 months of this lovely energy crisis we find ourselves in, but no, still quite angry.

I've made the decision that since my lease is up in June on my car, I will be purchasing a fuel efficient vehicle. While I say Fuel efficient, what I mean is that it is my fondest wish that sometime in 2009, there will be Electric or Hydrogen cars on the open market.

When that happens, I will be first in line, and will do it with a smile on my face, and no anger in my heart.

Now all we need is for car companies to get off their asses and make it happen.

To recap: Car companies, make it happen.

Home for a Rest

Though I'm not exactly sure how it happened, we have somehow made it through convention season more or less intact. Granted, I feel like Guatemalan ass, I'm just happy to be sleeping in my own bed and cracking the whip once again at my own staff.

While I doubt I'm unable to currently cut through the fog that's blanketing my mind enough to give you a full recap of the last few weeks, I did at least want to make a few random notes here about our travels:

• I don't know how it happened, but I am now in love with the sport of AirSoft, and the fun weapons that come along with it. I will be setting up a Montreal-based league to play at least once a week, so if you're interested in playing, please send me off a note.
• If you're going to choose one convention to drink heavily at, DragonCON is the one to go with.
• Brandon Sanderson and Patrick Rothfuss are great guys, and I wish I had more time to sit with them.
• I am making it a resolution to no longer meet favorite actors in person, as it's just too damn disillusioning.
• Apologies to anyone who came to see me before my morning Red Bull. I assure you that I do in fact have a personality.
• Asking me my opinion about the webcomics community while I have a drink in my hand is a bad idea.
• I am convinced, now more than ever, that Mr. Lar deSouza could get any woman in the world.
• We need to be putting out more Merchandise.
• From here on in, I will only stay at Hotels that resemble the Death Star.
• Not everyone knows the same Canadian Drinking songs that Lar, Nick and I know.
• "So Say We All" is considered a pickup line, but only at DragonCON.

That's all I've got right now at the top of my head, but once I settle back in, I can almost guarantee I'll have more to say.

I bet you can't wait.

DragonCon, Booth #1621

If ever there was a time when I was not either preparing for, leaving for, setting up at, or exhibiting at a Convention, I find myself unable to recall. I can only assume such a time is purely fictional, something we tell our children to put them to sleep.

Regardless of my grasp on reality (or lack thereof), we are once again on the move, this time to sunny downtown Atlanta, Georgia, to attend DragonCon (August 29 – Sept. 1).

We will be there at Booth #1621, in Imperial Ballroom B.

Lar, Nick, Ryan and myself will be there, with plenty of books and other merchandise to sell, along with Lar taking commissions. Do come by and say hello...with Red Bull.

I'll be taking pictures throughout, and doing all that I can to ingratiate myself with the cast of Battlestar Galactica, in the hope that they will someday look at me, and say "friend".

We'll see you in Atlanta.
